Project CKGA: 5 Things You Appreciate About Your Partner Today

I woke up from a terrible dream. I burrowed my body to be close to him and he motioned his arms to nestle me. I was sobbing uncontrollably in my dream and woke doing the same.
He adjusted my warm but short fleece blanket to cover my exposed legs. He knew I was always cold. This was the morning after we had our silent fight.
I jinxed myself when I said few months ago that I don’t feel the adjustment period for newlyweds they were all talking about.
I’m grateful he has long accepted how lazy I am. I don’t really care for cooking; cutting of meat and vegetables, cleaning all the utensils, taking care of the biodegradable trash in this village where the garbage collector only collects once a week. He has been cooking the past few days.
Ginataang sitaw and kalabasa, Tocino, and Sinigang na baboy; on separate occasions of course.
He bought Coke at the sarisari store because I needed a partner for my Sinigang. That means stepping outside. I’m also not fond of that if not direly needed like that thing called job.
But other than that, it’s been going well.
How have you been?

Project CKGA, MWPJ Ep 5

Nag-submit kami sa church ng mga final requirement - banns, permission to marry, and list ng Principal Sponsors and their address.

While waiting for our ride (aka jeep pa-SM Molino)

Me: Yeey na-submit na natin!

Him: Yeey! (sabay kiss sa kamay ko)

Project CKGA, MWPJ Ep 4

Totoo ba 'to? Chill lang ako ngayon at walang hinahabol na dapat tapusin?! Slow clap!

42 days to go, wala pa rin yung sukat ng maid-of-honor.

Ayun, napili nila yung least like ko. So, scratch lahat. Like this one:

Meron akong friends who can make invites, pero ayaw ko kasi humingi ng discount. Haha.
And sa  pagka-arte and detail-oriented, inabot kami ng ilang weeks. Nakakaloka! And no, hindi pa rin sya tapos til now.

Balik bridechilla slash bridedoublechinna.

Project CKGA, MWPJ Ep 3

Nag apply kami ng Marriage License about 2 weeks ago. So sinabay na namin yung pag apply. Yung naunang couple samin, medyo may eksena sila. Ako I had to make a quick kuha ng cedula. So by the time na nagsulat ako, finished na rin si boss.
So ayun, medyo nag rant ng mini si ate MCR, kesyo a few pieces for the whole year lang daw binibigay na supplies sa kanila.

kthxbye

Project CKGA, MWPJ Ep 2

I found something I can post for this series that we shall shorten as “Project CKGA, MWPJ”. This is a photo we took after we had our ocular trip at Torreno Resort and Pavilion. I initially wanted something super simple (meaning inexpensive) venue so I asked my friend Rain, who is a home owner at Avida Settings if he can endorse us so we can book their clubhouse (where they held their intimate wedding). I wanted to schedule an ocular trip so I can check the place out and visualize the setup we want for the reception.  We never got to do that ocular. On one of our chats, he mentioned this events venue that they booked for his son’s .. I wanna say birthday? Dedication?  -- for his son’s party. They held it at Torreno Resort and Pavilion. I’ve seen this place on Facebook but brushed the thought of booking an expensive venue aside. But Rain said the place offers reasonable price, so I inquired since this place is only a few minutes away from the church.
We decided to pay a visit last February 11th; booked them the day after. This became first of the many – konti lang naman difference, si “xxx=more expensive” supplier na lang decisions which resulted to us exceeding our initial budget.

Pros
  • Indoor venue – no matter what the weather is on our wedding day (but hopefully good one), our guests will stay dry, cake will not melt, and groom will not perspire so much.
  • Literally 5 minutes away from our church – we don’t have to worry about guests crossing the Molino traffic again
  • Spacious
  • Security (not that Avida isn’t – ang higpit kaya sa gate, kaya di kami basta nakapag ocular)
Con
  •         Muuuuch more expensive than our initial venue
