It's my bedtime but I challenged myself to write the entire week so even though I'm tad bit sleepy, here I go.
I actually miss writing on a nice notebook with my green Pilot pen. I miss my dresser back home. My husband got me a table that was supposed to take that (GMA dresser) role but COVID happened, so the table is now my office.
I used to always own 3 (or more) green Pilot pens - for home, office, and my purse. And like Chapsticks, I often lose the purse pen. So it gives me a little bit of pride when any of the other 2 reach the end of its life and run out of ink. And like all my other possessions, I usually drop these pens, hence the "or more" part. It's a known fact that Pilot pens get choppy when dropped. I try to replace it at once.
Yes. I got side tracked thinking about my green Pilot pens when I was supposed to be writing something with substance.
I got nothing.
So here's more random blabber which is also ink-related.
I just realized that a lot my friends have tattoos. I used to want one. I kinda still do. But I fear that if I choose an artistic or pretty design, I will eventually get over it, or worse, find the design cheesy/cringey in the future. Afterall our taste changes over time. Tattoo commitment issues exist!
On the other hand, lasers now exists! However even with that knowledge, I do not have that urge to get one. So maybe I don't really care for it? Idk.
This is long enough. *scrolls up*
Yup. Good enough for my future self's entertainment.

So ayun na nga nakapag kape rin
Quick coffee to go from Starbucks tapos park lang sa gilid ng road sa entrance pa Vermosa para magpahangin si Toby.
I can't collect planner stickers and now feelin a bit lost on what to get for 2021.
Perfect din kasi ng paper ng Starbucks planner; Moleskine is manipis for me and mahal. Gusto ko yung design and the (almost always) usual leather binding. Other planners kasi I see are too colorful or too plain for my liking; walang sakto lang.
So I searched a little bit kanina and got really interested in Limelight.ph's 365 Days planner. However I cant find where I can order online. I'll probably have to buy from a physical store, which I wanted to avoid sana.
Anyway, I challenge myself to write this whole week. I'm flaky, but would most likely be bored the whole week so there's that.

Brewing Chika
Warm lighting, industrial interior, the aroma, & delicious coffee.
Missing coffee dates with friends and family so much, may kasamang kirot. I miss the feeling of warm coffee cup on my hands, with the anticipation of chika from friends.
Right around this time of the year, binubudol ko na friends for Starbucks sticker. I miss that too, yung feeling na kahit napilitan lang sila, but dahil malakas ka sakanila, napagbibigyan.
Even my daily McDo trips with Juicy, mabilisang tawid sa Fastbyes after mag login at ang French Vanilla ni Otet.
Hopefully soon...

Finally Additional Fonts: Betraying Courier and Arial with Shadows Into Light
Gasssppppppp, pwede na magdagdag ng ibang font????????
After 7 months of quarantine, I did it - went out for my first "non-essential labas". To celebrate all occasions of 2020, from my birthday, to Doe's, to Minz', and our 10th year in the company, we had breakfast in Tagaytay. There was more to it really, the main reason we HAD to come and see each other in person, but that's not my story to tell. It was pouring the night before; iniisip ko na baka di rin matuloy and maybe, that's okay. I was hesitant for obvious reasons, but have to admit there was excitement at the same time. It almost felt like I was going out on a first date. I even exclaimed "excited na ko magsapatos ulet". Almost all of my shoes are already too maalikabok!
I also had to "air" my pullover and paligo it with perfume dahil galing sa "box of clothes I won't be using anytime soon" - there was a faint but noticeable smell of plastic.
As soon as we stepped out of the car, I felt the familiar piercing breeze on my face and thought to myself - Oh I've missed this.
A woman had her photo taken with the lake in the background, and immediately said, almost yelling "syempre 'di ko ipopost!"
Ganon na talaga 'no? Disclaimer is a must (protocol was followed, we wore mask, did this, did that). Well maybe, to ease the worry na rin of our loved ones. I sent a photo to our family groupchat, and of course noted that we were cautious.
Something has changed though, while going over the menu, ang naiisip ko lang sa bawat napipili ko "oh boss can cook this", or "we can easily make this at home, mura pa". Ang ending, nadisappoint ako sa napili ko. But I enjoyed having breakfast al fresco. The coffee was good and the restaurant is also pretty. It's nice makakita ng labas while eating. The Binintiang Malaki seemed closer and I feel like I was the only one who noticed it. Malungkot lang 'coz a lot of establishments in Tagayay, just like elsewhere nagsara na rin. Tatay mentioned it, and nakakalungkot rin makita talaga.
Doe dropped us off at Festival Mall. And yes, it's been 7 months na rin since I last set foot Alabang. Nablanko pa ko when thinking saan ang mga Japanese restaurants coz yun ang request ni boss na pasalubong. Well, Yabu kasi una kong naisip, walang Yabu sa Festival, and wala na ko balak lipat pa Town Center.
Less uneventful weekend 'til we all go back to our normal, hopefully soon. For now e-numan muna and maybe, another social distancing coffee date.

"Create something even if it sucks."
I don't know who said it. Just found it on one of Reddit's motivational subs.
Random blabbering -
2 more days til the weekend. I have a throbbing headache and I don't know if it's a good idea to take Melatonin now so I can finally sleep.
Nasaan na kaya napunta mga "while washing the dishes" ideas ko.
In the mean time please enjoy this random photo of a bukid at dawn.
Matagal tagal na rin since I last enjoyed a view like this. I wish I have a recent sunset by the beach photo.
Oh well, let's just hope for the best.
Anyway, I've made up my mind, White Flower and Melatonin.

Quarantine. Did we actually think that staying at home and not going to malls would keep us from making impulse purchases?!

Can we still say how we really feel, or are we all living in fear - of being offensive, of being insensitive, of being a total idiot?!
It's unfortunate that kids were robbed not just of summer, but also the delight of back-to-school shopping. This is one of the many little things that is indeed too little but combined with all other little things sums up our previous normal.
I miss notebook-shopping. I miss rummaging stacks after stacks of notebooks at Landmark. Being overwhelmed with all the choices; feeling the pages and finding the right amount of coarseness. The ease of online shopping cannot amount to the enjoyment of physically inspecting each notebook.
September seemed far at the outset of the quarantine, yet here we are.

They are kind of piling up. Will I keep my word when I said last time that pictures will follow?
Did I ever..keep my word?
I need to start journaling on paper again.
Anyway, here are a few of the things I listed that I will post with complete disregard of my previous travel post that was lacking the quality image content.
1. Marcus' Birthday e-Concert
My panganay nephew celebrated his birthday by having Zoom e-Concert for family.
He's learning to play the piano.
And if I have patience to learn to create quality video content, I might've vlogged by now. My Vimeo is hopeless, my YouTube is just unsightly.
Going back, my nephew, e-concert. He played a few classical pieces and he's really improved tremendously.
At some point, I thought the kids weren't really interested in music and was something that their Dad was just pushing them to do. But ate said Marcus took the initiative of finding a tutor online.
2. I bought pre-owned books and I haven't started reading them
It was through Reddit, someone posted books for sale in Mystery Box fashion - "Mystery Book", literally. The genre of the books are suspense/mystery and buyers had no chance to choose. The poster said it was to help his/her kapatid's schooling or something. I appreciated that, instead of those who are just asking for Gcash donations.
3. Chef Kulas' Quarantine Cooking

Extended Vacay in Coron, Palawan August 2019
- Airfare roundtrip for 2 pax - PHP 2,761.20 (seat sale obviously)
- Coron Ultimate Tour and Calauit Tour for 2 pax joiner - roughly PHP 6,400
- Accommodation - interesting, I can't find receipts. But according to the Internet it's about PHP 2400 a night. So we'll go with that for 2 nights... and the rest is our bonding with Agoda.

Sunday Woe of a Skincare Junkie
I’ve made peace with the fact that my face will never be makinis. I’m fully aware that it’s ridiculous to compare it to the artistas, even more those kPop idols.
June 2019. I was hopeful at the outset of my skincare journey. The more I read and watch, the more confident I’ve become that I can do this without going through the horrible peeling other people go through when undergoing treatment at the Dermas. I have to say, I do see some improvement, particularly on my forehead area.
My enlarged pores will be with me forever; it’s genetics. And as I age I’ll see some spots here and there.
Pimples, yes, that’s kind if a given, especially when I’m close to my period.
But my, oh my, hormonal acne has reached another milestone: 5-in-1 cystic acne. My only savior for this stubborn kind is getting cortisone injection. But at a time of pandemic, that’s not really an ideal move.
So I’m stuck with this gigantic morph of cystic acne for the next few days. Debating whether I salicylic acid or Benzoyl peroxide the shit out of it, orrrrr try to calm it with niacinamide and hope for the best.
