So,,, I did some shopping yesterday

and am very proud of my purchase. well they're not the latest trend or anything like that. They actually look more lola-ish than stylish. I like lola-ish stuff. But anyway, I got more than 50% off of a Charles and Keith slippers and also some kind of significant discount with the Mango knitted cardigan I got.

Okay, So the tag says the slippers is Php  1599 at a regular price, and I got it only for Php 599. Hahaha, I don't think I'm suppose to laugh here, but that was a sinister laugh, I felt like a won over some evil entrepreneur. No, I don't think they're evil. Charles and Keith is a sulit brand for me. But yeah I got 'em slippers at a low price (ps, there weren't any tag on the slippers, it was actually a sticker at the sole of the slippers-and this is relevant why?).
The cardigan is Php 2250 at a regular price. Who knitted it?! Anyway, I got it for Php 790. That made me happy.
I also bought a pair of jeans from Folded n Hung, but that was a regular price, so nothing special.

CEBU / CAMOTES guide -- not

If you're looking for a travel blog to guide you on your next trip to CEBU CITY and CAMOTES well, you're in the wrong place.
But while you're here let me just share my (mis)adventure during my last visit to Cebu ♥
I'll insert tips and Do's and Don't's here and there cause I've learned some during this trip, some of them, the hard way.

We arrived lunch time at the Mactan airport. There are cabs just outside the Arrival gate, and these are the Airport Taxi and thus are expensive. So we asked (technically had Ali asked one of the guards to show us where the regular ones are at).  So we followed the directions upstairs and actually there are signs leading the way that reads "TAXI  ". It actually wasn't hard to miss but we were in a slight state of stupidity, I blame the flight, I just had to blame something.

We went straight to CASA VERDE at the Ramos branch. The closer we were, the more familiar it got. The downhill narrow street, a bit rough, was the same as I remember.
We started w/ the WATERMELON SALAD. It's not as healthy as it sounds. The dressing was heavy. But we enjoyed it. We were here to pig out anyway. And of course we had to order BRIAN'S RIBS. Ali had that, and I had the ROASTED SEASONED CHICKEN.
RIBS - very very good, soft, savory, however, not to its core, unlike the Chicken I had
CHICKEN - very tasty up to its core, lots of herbs and spices ♥

cute graffiti right outside Casa Verde

Next stop NICK's DOODLE STORE - D12, Borromeo Arcade bldg. F. Ramos st., Cebu City
We kinda look like 2 idiots walking back and forth Ramos w/ our heavy bags under the afternoon sun! There's a place along ramos called "CHUVA CHUVA" -- if you see this, that means you're on the other end of Ramos st. Walk the other way!
I know there's a map on their FB page, but apparently we don't know how to read maps! :p And the store is at the back side of the complex. Tip for all the doodlers out there, it's that commercial center w/ the spacious parking lot on the right side. The Borromeo Arcade bldg is in between New Ramos Center and Ipar's Restaurant. Please check Wikimapia, it's easier to find it there than google maps.
NICK AUTOMATIC shopping!! ♥

On to our next IT! -- CAMOTES ISLAND!
We took a van from SM City Cebu to Danao Port. In Cebu, these vans are called V-Hire. Fare is Php50 I think? Actually, their last stop is at the town's terminal. And ODK! Pedicab drivers mob the passengers getting off of the van! And of course they don't speak Tagalog.
Manong pedicab driver asked for Php100 for quarter of a distance of the walk we did earlier at Ramos! I think it was about 500 meters or so. Bad pedicab driver!
We took the 5:30pm trip to Camotes Island via Jomalia Shipping. We arrived at the Consuelo Port around 7:30pm.

V hire at SM City Cebu

MANGODLONG PARADISE lives up to its name. I'd say it's a small resort but they've utilized the space efficiently. Nice room, pool, food at the restaurant and beach front.
The water is very clear! They only have artificial sand though, I mean, it's real sand but they got it somewhere else. We went swimming at the beach the following morning. The weather is just fine.
After breakfast, we had our CAMOTES ISLAND TOUR via habalhabal. I found a tour guide online via some blogs, his name is Eil Garrote. I wish we opted for a multicab tour instead, it would've been more comfortable, but touring the island via habalhabal was such a raw experience. And only that morning that I found out that the tour would take about 6 hours! I only alloted 3 hours for it. We didn't get a chance to visit all the  usual stops for the tour. And even had a "bf's-boardshorts-left-at-the-resort" dilema! Oh well. Tip: find out how much time you need to alot, and don't leave your boardshorts behind!
We stopped by Santiago Bay. The beach was so beautiful. I fell inlove. It wasn't crowded, and there are just enough establishments at the shore.

super low tide

From the beach, we went to the city proper, stopped at the BAYWALK and had a different kind of halohalo. Then a brief stop at TIMOBO CAVE. It was kinda crowded when we got there.
We had to go back to Mangodlong Paradise to pack our bags and check out. Til now, I regret that I didn't plan this well, and didn't get the chance to enjoy all that the island can offer.
We stayed at the HOTEL STELLA in Cebu City. Their deluxe is room is very small, but hey, fits our budget just right. We met w/ an old friend of mine, Chum. We were roommates in Makati. It was so nice of her to find time to give us an exclusive night City tour. We got to experience Cebu commute! It's so much easier because their jeepneys have "codes" depending on their route. I've seen the City before, but it's different to see it at night where there are less people and cars and stuff.

Before we bid farewell to the Queen City, I of course had to swing by the TABOAN MARKET to buy Danggit and Pusit! There arent't enough of them on a Sunday morning, I'm still thinking we went to a different place to buy Danggit back in 2009, oh well.
This has been a great experience! I love Cebu! And I still want to see more. ♥

Deftones Koi No Yokan tour MANILA ♥

something infiniteLy interesting

It's always a GREAT experience seeing you play live! Thank you for coming to MANILA ♥ hope to see you back here soon!

Sorry for the crappy photo, there are actually more (crappy) photos in my phone, that I guess would just have to stay there. I took 2 videos, one is incomplete Tempest, and that awesome part where Chino went over the Gold section ♥

They played most of my favorites and plenty of their songs from the new album, Koi No Yokan. I wish they played RxQueen, but then the 24-song setlist was amazing!

DEFTONES - KOI NO YOKAN

Deftones have a new album out and they're coming back to Manila :)
They've released their 7th studio album, KOI NO YOKAN back in  November 2012 and will go on a world tour. KNY has 11 tracks, including the first single Tempest

1.     "Swerve City"
2.     "Romantic Dreams"
3.     "Leathers"
4.     "Poltergeist"
5.     "Entombed"
6.     "Graphic Nature"
7.     "Tempest"
8.     "Gauze"
9.     "Rosemary"
10.     "Goon Squad"
11.     "What Happened to You?"

The opening track Swerve city sure is a short song, but I think it's a great choice to put as the first song in the album; could really get your adrenalin dancing.

And how great is it, that it had only been a little over 2 years since they first came to Manila, and by MAY 26 2013 they're coming again to play live for us? :) AWESOME! Thank you very much splintr.com.
So it's happening at the World Trade Center again in Pasay.

CREATIVE JUICES FLOWING

ODK I love this site:

http://www.makeit-loveit.com

I wish I was like the person behind this. Creative and making money out of blogging it! I have so many ideas in my head but I can't seem to start a project!
I have a scrapbook that I just started working on, but it's still is so plain. I know I can do more than that.
I'm thinking that one reason that's keeping me from starting these projects is I care about saving money too, that I'd rather put it in the bank or something. But to be honest money goes to waste because of gala, eating, shopping and other stuff T_T

I must promise to start small projects! I must have an action plan!
I will start by getting these two:

1. Rotary fabric cutter
2. Craft supply organizer

About 2 weeks ago, I undressed my corkboard because I had the pink/brown lace theme for over a year. I wanted to do something else different but I haven't even bought anything that I can use yet! I was thinking of Black and White theme, Army and just now Navy =p I can't decide yet.
I also youtube'd some  DIY arm candy tutorial that I didn't pursue, because I thought It's just going to be expensive.

I was thinking if there was a craft store in Festival Mall, it'd be easier for me.
Like http://paperrockscissors.ph/ in Davao or Buttons and Wrap (the one in SM Makati).

Anyway, one habit I hate about myself is how I procrastinate A LOT!
I guess if I really wanted to get something done, I must START

Your teenage crush, kamusta naman, crush-material pa rin ba?

Naku thanks GT'ers for interesting topics to write about. And I answered:

kaso,, i dont know what he's been up to, kung nag work na ba, stable or what not, he's 5 years ahead of me,and i think when i was in college he was still in college, or went back to school for nursing,

I wanted to write so much more about him dahil super tagal ko syang crush.

Making lame excuses to see each other pero di natuloy tuloy.

ODK hahahaha. Pero at that time nga, I wasn't ready yet to have a boyfriend (may ganong level) - kasi naitanim sa utak ko na bawal mag landi pag wala pang 18.

Nauso Friendster, nagka boyfriend ako, single sya. Single ako, may jowa sya. As if naman magigiging kami kung sabay kaming single. Haha.
Kapanahunan ng FB add, greet pag bday, very very rare comments and likes sa posts. I only remember 1 instance of chat, nothing flirty - too breezy as if close kami :p ayun, friends pa din kami --sa FB haha.

Oh well. Parang panaginip lang. Siguro kaya ganon katagal kasi hindi naman talaga ko sa kanya may gusto, but to the idea of him. Hindi ko sya kilala masyado, so I imagine things, na kung ano sya, what's he like ganon. What it would be like talking to him, hanging out w/ him. So ayun. Ganyan talaga dapat pag bata. Gumawa ng kalokohan so you'll have something to laugh about in the future ♥

Caught Urbandub at the Mactan airport back in 09

something infiniteLy interesting

I remember seeing musical equipments when we arrived at the Mactan airport back in October 2009. I was thinking, "Ui sino may gig?" Then I saw Lalay Lim! Then John Dinopol's hair, hahaha - yeah I distinctly remember recognizing him because of his curly hair -- "wow Urbandub!!!" I asked for a photo from Lalay, she was so nice to call the rest of the band whom I did not see right away. Gabby and JanJan my love came over. Hihi. Too bad this photo is blurry. But this is my first and only photo with the entire band! And how special it was coz it was at their home town.

I know there are other places in our beautiful country that I haven't seen yet, but I'm super excited to go back to Cebu!!

NICK AUTOMATIC: Dominating the world one closet at a time

I first heard of this tee line from boss, some time back in July 2010. But, correct me if I'm wrong, Nick Automatic has been in the scene for about a year then. Okay I have to do my research. Anyway, if it weren't for boss, I don't think I'd come across NA. I was working in a BPO call center back then in a sales account. Boss was studying in Bulacan State University back then.
Nick Automatic had a Manila Invasion in July 17, 2010. That happened in Commune, somewhere in Perea st. Makati. Boss wanted to get one, but he had class til 1700, and BSU is in Malolos Bulacan. He didn't think he'd get a good shirt if he goes to the invasion after his class. I think that was the reason. So, I was so landi that time (well til now), I offered to get him one that he likes and go there early.
Ayjusko when I got there around 1530 handameeng tao! I mean for a store/brand that I haven't heard before. I was thinking, "seriously anong meron?!". Di naman exag, there were people waiting outside, right outside the store and across the street. The much awaited shirts weren't there yet. And the store owner made us wait outside coz the store could not just possibly accomodate everyone. There was supposed to be a mini gig, but that did not materialize for some reason I don't know.
I didn't know anyone and most of them are guys. I remember some tried to make small talk w/ me, but back then I don't know how to hold a good conversation yet w/ strangers
If I remember it right, (forgive me my details are not as accurate as I want them to be, this happened over 2 years ago), ok going back, I think it was 1700 when the shirts arrived! :) I felt excited even though I didn't know yet what I was up for. Man I didn't know what I was up for!!! Nagtulakan talaga sila ate at kuya! And most of us have been waiting for over 2 hours so just imagine how "panis" na kami. LoL. It took a while before I was able to get in and ODK the scent of pawis in the store is overbearing ahaha. Puro kaartehan! anak ng.. oh well. In the end I got boss his GnarlyXNA tee, and I got mine a Pencil crew tee! so cute :) I saw Nicolo Nimor that day, I didn't really care much for him back then. If I only knew I'd be obssessing over him 2 years later LOL.But I remember thinking, "ang bata nya pa, and successful na". I was kinda envious when I found out we were the same age.
Many musicians have been spotted wearing NA. Urbandub and Chicosci are two of his main ambassadors. International artists have sported them too.
Nick Automatic tees are primarily sold online via trusted resellers. They have some at the Built by sonic shop in Eastwood, but if you want to get fresh release, you have to wait and transact business w/ the resellers.
Now I have a total of 6 NA shirts and a lanyard, which I know is weak compared to his hardcore fans. But I like that each of 'em have their own little story :)
The flagship Nick Automatic Doodle Store (NDS) opened some time 2012 and just recently another one in Cebu (still) at the Jcentre. And that's another milestone to his career.
I guess I'm writing this w/ a tiny bit of envy in my heart :P but mostly respect and admiration for Nicolo's success at young age of 25 doing something that he loves.
I am super excited to go back to Cebu and do some NA tee shopping :)
