I woke up from a terrible dream. I burrowed my body to be
close to him and he motioned his arms to nestle me. I was sobbing uncontrollably
in my dream and woke doing the same.
He adjusted my warm but short fleece blanket to cover my
exposed legs. He knew I was always cold. This was the morning after we had our
silent fight.
I jinxed myself when I said few months ago that I don’t feel
the adjustment period for newlyweds they were all talking about.
I’m grateful he has long accepted how lazy I am. I don’t
really care for cooking; cutting of meat and vegetables, cleaning all the
utensils, taking care of the biodegradable trash in this village where the
garbage collector only collects once a week. He has been cooking the past few
days.
Ginataang sitaw and kalabasa, Tocino, and Sinigang na baboy;
on separate occasions of course.
He bought Coke at the sarisari store because I needed a partner for my Sinigang. That means stepping outside. I’m also not
fond of that if not direly needed like that thing called job.
But other than that, it’s been going well.
How have you been?
something infiniteLy interesting
