Book Challenge and Nailfies

Ate tagged me on Facebook --

"I accepted a 7-day challenge from a dear fellow bookworm to post the covers of books I love - no explanation, no review, just the cover. Today I ask 7 friends to take up the challenge. Let's promote literacy and support for public libraries and reading."

Na-pressure akong alalahanin kung ano talaga mga gusto kong books. But I guess itong mga recent favorite ko na lang. And since not following instruction ako, I'll add a few comments.

I'd like to thank Hi-C for sending me a copy of this book. I think this is the first book na nabasa ko na mga bagets ang bida. When I first got into reading, more on mga suspense / crime fiction agad naumpisahan ko, because yun ang mga available sa min. This was a balanced read for me; generally light read lang, pero ang ganda ng mga turn of events. Medyo naluha ako ng slight sa reveal in the end, which should've been a bit obvious from the beginning.

Another genre that I haven't touched before, dark fantasy + comedy. This was also a very entertaining read for me. Pinag isipan ko ng slight if ito ba or The Ocean at the End of the Lane ang ilista ko, but I remember some parts sa latter book na medyo dragging for me, so ultimately, I chose The Graveyard Book.

For me, John Green was kind of dominating YA books these past few years. Iniyakan ko rin 'to. I think I have mentioned before that I was in a reading rut, but forced myself to read the book since a film was coming out. One of my favorite quotes, so simple but poetic -- "Above us, the wind blew and the branching shadows rearranged themselves on our skin. Gus squeezed my hand. "It is a good life, Hazel Grace.

Dito ako medyo na-pressure, because I know I loved the story and how it was written, but nakalimutan ko na mga details. It was one of the first books na medyo mabigat for me when it tackled about mental health and such. Masyado ako nabigla sa ending, parang hindi ko matanggap ginawa ni aunt Helen.

Okay, just love this so much especially yung mga love letters ni Noah kay Allie.

Ito din na-pressure ako dahil di ko na matandaan mga details. But umpisa pa lang striking na sya sakin.

The ending of this book diba? Unfortunately, I tried other Rainbow Rowell books, di ko na rin masyado nagustuhan.

Okay on another super duper unrelated note, I painted my nails today. I said I was going to cut it dahil medyo nahihirapan na ko mag-type, but for some reason my nails still look pretty and healthy kaya parang sayang naman, minsan lang to.
They got brittle for a while after I had gel polish. Oh how I want to maintain gel polish, pero wala, it's not for me.

The one on the left was after I had my nails done in Coron. Yes in Coron where we got stranded for 4 days. The one on the right was after I painted them today. The teal polish is one of the trinkets I got during my bridal shower from last year. Which reminded me, I wanted to create a post about that, pero mag one year na yon, and ano pa nga ba.

That's enough typing with long nails for the day.

something infiniteLy interesting
