CREATIVE JUICES FLOWING

ODK I love this site:

http://www.makeit-loveit.com

I wish I was like the person behind this. Creative and making money out of blogging it! I have so many ideas in my head but I can't seem to start a project!
I have a scrapbook that I just started working on, but it's still is so plain. I know I can do more than that.
I'm thinking that one reason that's keeping me from starting these projects is I care about saving money too, that I'd rather put it in the bank or something. But to be honest money goes to waste because of gala, eating, shopping and other stuff T_T

I must promise to start small projects! I must have an action plan!
I will start by getting these two:

1. Rotary fabric cutter
2. Craft supply organizer

About 2 weeks ago, I undressed my corkboard because I had the pink/brown lace theme for over a year. I wanted to do something else different but I haven't even bought anything that I can use yet! I was thinking of Black and White theme, Army and just now Navy =p I can't decide yet.
I also youtube'd some  DIY arm candy tutorial that I didn't pursue, because I thought It's just going to be expensive.

I was thinking if there was a craft store in Festival Mall, it'd be easier for me.
Like http://paperrockscissors.ph/ in Davao or Buttons and Wrap (the one in SM Makati).

Anyway, one habit I hate about myself is how I procrastinate A LOT!
I guess if I really wanted to get something done, I must START

Caught Urbandub at the Mactan airport back in 09

something infiniteLy interesting

I remember seeing musical equipments when we arrived at the Mactan airport back in October 2009. I was thinking, "Ui sino may gig?" Then I saw Lalay Lim! Then John Dinopol's hair, hahaha - yeah I distinctly remember recognizing him because of his curly hair -- "wow Urbandub!!!" I asked for a photo from Lalay, she was so nice to call the rest of the band whom I did not see right away. Gabby and JanJan my love came over. Hihi. Too bad this photo is blurry. But this is my first and only photo with the entire band! And how special it was coz it was at their home town.

I know there are other places in our beautiful country that I haven't seen yet, but I'm super excited to go back to Cebu!!

NICK AUTOMATIC: Dominating the world one closet at a time

I first heard of this tee line from boss, some time back in July 2010. But, correct me if I'm wrong, Nick Automatic has been in the scene for about a year then. Okay I have to do my research. Anyway, if it weren't for boss, I don't think I'd come across NA. I was working in a BPO call center back then in a sales account. Puro maarte at mga bakla lang kasama ko nun haha. Boss was studying in Bulacan State University back then.
Nick Automatic had a Manila Invasion in July 17, 2010. That happened in Commune, somewhere in Perea st. Makati. Boss wanted to get one, but he had class til 1700, and BSU is in Malolos Bulacan. He didn't think he'd get a good shirt if he goes to the invasion after his class. Kumbaga, late na, at napagpilian na mga tira. I think that was the reason. So, I was so landi that time (well til now), I offered to get him one that he likes and go there early.
Ayjusko when I got there around 1530 handameeng tao! I mean for a store/brand that I haven't heard before. I was thinking, "seriously anong meron?!". Di naman exag, there were people waiting outside, right outside the store and across the street. The much awaited shirts weren't there yet. And the store owner made us wait outside coz the store could not just possibly accomodate everyone. There was supposed to be a mini gig, but that did not materialize for some reason I don't know.
I didn't know anyone and most of them are guys. I remember some tried to make small talk w/ me, but back then I don't know how to hold a good conversation yet w/ strangers
If I remember it right, (forgive me my details are not as accurate as I want them to be, this happened over 2 years ago), ok going back, I think it was 1700 when the shirts arrived! :) I felt excited even though I didn't know yet what I was up for. Man I didn't know what I was up for!!! Nagtulakan talaga sila ate at kuya! And most of us have been waiting for over 2 hours so just imagine how "panis" na kami. LoL. It took a while before I was able to get in and ODK the scent of pawis in the store is overbearing ahaha. Puro kaartehan! anak ng.. oh well. In the end I got boss his GnarlyXNA tee, and I got mine a Pencil crew tee! so cute :) I saw Nicolo Nimor that day, I didn't really care much for him back then. If I only knew I'd be obssessing over him 2 years later LOL.But I remember thinking, "ang bata nya pa, and successful na". I was kinda envious when I found out we were the same age.
Many musicians have been spotted wearing NA. Urbandub and Chicosci are two of his main ambassadors. International artists have sported them too.
Nick Automatic tees are primarily sold online via trusted resellers. They have some at the Built by sonic shop in Eastwood, but if you want to get fresh release, you have to wait and transact business w/ the resellers.
Now I have a total of 6 NA shirts and a lanyard, which I know is weak compared to his hardcore fans. But I like that each of 'em have their own little story :)
The flagship Nick Automatic Doodle Store (NDS) opened some time 2012 and just recently another one in Cebu (still) at the Jcentre. And that's another milestone to his career.
I guess I'm writing this w/ a tiny bit of envy in my heart :P but mostly respect and admiration for Nicolo's success at young age of 25 doing something that he loves.
I am super excited to go back to Cebu and do some NA tee shopping :)

Happy Birthday Built by Sonic

A small shop with a BIG sound ~ Built by Sonic is a retail store carrying selective lifestyle and rock music/band apparel from both the local and international scene. They carry Nick Automatic and Gnarly to name a few (well that's just two, so a couple). They're celebrating their 2nd year and what better way to do it than a free gig!

Okay, I went to this gig because first, I wanted to avail the discounts in getting tshirts (I ended up not buying anything, didn't even enter the store); second I wanted to see December Avenue play live again, it's been awhile; third I wanted to ambush Nicolo Nimor and get a photo with him, also to see his other band Sirens play live for the first time. But mostly cause I was desperate to go out! With what happened w/ mom, I had some lakwatsas cancelled, so even if I only had 1 day off because of the schedule transition, I really had to be here. I even considered going there alone.

But yeah, I didn't even enter the store, there were so much people and I'm thinkin' nah,, I'm not even sure if I'll find something that I would really really like to buy so I decided to stay away from the crowd coming in and out of the store. I've been in the store before, they do have good stuff, but I am so broke right now, I must only buy something that I have to really buy.
I saw one of my favorite local bands December Avenue, took a picture w/ them, chat a bit but I went home right before their set started! Lovely right?! So here's my explanatory letter:
This gig happened in Eastwood which is in Cubao, and it's already 10 in the evening, I don't have a car and I live in Cavite. I have shift at 0600 the following morning and I haven't had any real sleep in days. I was really trying to convince myself that I'm only doing this just this once, that I can bear working the following morning w/only a couple of hours sleep, that I forgot to consider that commute home is difficult at this hour and there are no cabs in the province of Cavite! (well technically I can get one from Alabang, but the fare would be ridiculous)
One thing I accomplished I guess was getting a picure w/ Nicolo Nimor ~ the man behind NICK AUTOMATIC. I hated how boss obsesses about him, now I'm doing it just the same. His band played but too bad he didn't cause it was an acoustic set (he's on drums). I actually heard him play before w/ his band Campbell back in 2010 during Summer Slam X but I didn't know him then.
Boss and I had fun. I like attending gigs like this better than those big ones where you can only see the band on the white screen they have to put up for the sake of those people at the back. It's true what SonicBoom's tagline says they do make gigs the don't SUCK. ♥
