I gained 5.5 kgs from last year's APE. Nahihirapan ako 'coz some jeans and trousers don't fit anymore!

Okay moving on.
I loovveeeeeeee this Ever Bilena Lipstick na nabili ko sa Savemore - Matte - Toast of New York. Naggrocery kami ni mommy bago yung SG trip namin ni boss, and I thought I want a new lippie (wow lippie kala mo soshal na brand haha). And feeling ko jackpot sya coz it's matte pero hindi nagddry lips ko. And it's only (insert correct price here) pesos! As usual di ko na naman matandaan presho. I wanna say P134, or P164 - ayan basta less than P200! What a steal right. IMO it's the perfect shade between red and brown.

The brown lipstick shade of the 90s is back. The 90s, greatest decade evurrr, is definitely back.  Just notice how all the fashion statements from that decade is trending right now. We are all borrowing outfits from Rachel Green's closet:

Ugh, finally may Pikachu na ko! That electrobunny nag hatch sa 2 km egg! But of course my favorite monster is Psyduck. There was a time na super gusto ko magka Psyduck na plush toy. Ang cute nya kasi, parang gusto ko lang sya i-hug! Di pa ata masyado uso online shopping non and I didn't know where to get it.

We stayed at B Hotel in Quezon City

We stayed at B Hotel in Quezon City and there were so many things I liked!

1.The interior design is nice and modern
2. It's sulit for its price (3800 Php with breakfast) 

3. Room vibe was not hotel-ish (in a good way)

4. They served Danggit for breakfast (of course some other stuff too)
5. King sized bed
6. Extra Pillows!
7. Bare walls
8. All the grey I see

9. Cute pool

10. Other tiny details

 What I didn't like:
1. Other toiletries not readily available - conditioner, lotion etc - available upon request, uhm, di nyo pa sinama!

I had mixed feelings for the "not inside the bathroom" sink, but I know that it was placed that way to go with the modern theme and for better floor area use. I think.

I want some more, Singapore!

Multi-ethnic nation = Gastronomic adventure!

Singapore is a must-visit for every foodie! Even though this place is known for being quite expensive (compared to other neighboring Asian countries), eating cheap is still possible. One word: Hawker. Who wouldn’t get excited with the abundance of option to choose from! It can get a little overwhelming though as there are really plenty of choices to choose from.

Started my adventure with Mee Goreng ~ Spicy Malaysian Stir-Fried Noodles

then went a little conservative with this Salmon dish and paired it with delish Watermelon shake.

I don’t know what he had, it was like braised pork with kangkong (not sure)

One would surely go hungry from all the furniture shopping at IKEA. No problem, IKEA Restaurant also has exciting menu. Obviously not local, but their selection were all yummy and good for sharing!

We had Meatballs, Fried Chicken Wings and Pasta with tomato sauce and meatballs (yes again). And cake! 

Shopping is one of Singapore’s greatest draw. June, July, and August are the best months for shopping because of the Great Singapore Sale (GSS).  Orchard road is one of the most popular shopping destination in Singapore. Here you will find multitude of shops and retail center with huge discounts during GSS. And after filling your shopping bags, fill your tummy with delicious finds at the hawker center just outside the Concorde Hotel (Orchard cor Cavanagh).

Here we had Prawn Hot Plate, Chow fan, and some noodle dish (I don’t really remember if I didn’t order it).

And for our #SocialClimberActivities Harvey invited us to relax and have wine and cheese at Wine Connection Bistro @ Cuppage Terrace, also in Orchard. I don’t really understand this whole wine and cheese thing and why rich people do it haha. They all tasted weird, but it’s true that wine helped us relax – duh alcohol. 

We’re lucky that the hotel I booked was right beside Balestier Market. And the stalls were open for breakfast. They also offer take away – but usually for additional dollar or 2. On our 3^rd day, I had chicken and century egg congee; still a little conservative choice for someone who wants to "try stuff".

There are days when my tummy gets lazy and takes hours before getting hungry. I didn’t finish my congee which was a bad move coz I got hungry early in the day when were at Universal Studios. Good ol’ Skyflakes to the rescue! There was so much lining in queues that day so we decided to just get hotdogs and fries inside USS. No photo taken. Hotdog: Gone in 60 Seconds.

So I wanted to eat at hawker again since they were cheaper and offers more selection. But apparently, not all of them had great selection as Makansutra and Balestier Market. I’m gonna skip our 3^rd day dinner. I had some beef noodle soup. Good enough to fill my hungry belly.

We moved to a different hotel on our 4^th day. And luckily again, there's a food court just at the end of the block ~ Food Republic. Ate Erliza tipped me to have traditional Singaporean breakfast at Toast Box. So I ordered the Traditional Kaya Toast. Okay I know how to eat a toast, but did I? So this meal came with coffee (I know how to drink that) and 2 soft boiled eggs (like really soft and runny) – that I didn’t know how to eat. I cracked one open, saw I was given 2 teaspoons. I assumed 1 was for coffee and the other for the eggs. I was scooping the inside of the egg with the teaspoon. Looked at the other table and saw a local guy put the eggs in the other mini bowl, and did the same time. This was too light of a breakfast for me, so I added a Luncheon Meat Bun, also from Toast Box.

We decided to have lunch at Food Republic again. This time I had Pad Thai, Fish Cake, and Thai Milk Tea. They were all sooooo good! Look at the prawns!

He had duck and wonton soup.

I really enjoyed eating in Singapore. My wallet didn't enjoy that much, but my belly did! :)

Super Late Post: Splash Island

Yes. Splash Island is still operational. This water park is close to home but I've only been here twice.
In my opinion, it already reached past its prime but they're still trying. The slides are still in good condition and the thrill when sliding down is still there. It's still a good option for barkada or family bonding, but only if you live nearby.
I got complimentary tickets courtesy of k'P when they held their company outing there last May.

What I didn't like about the park/things they can improve on:
1. The slides don't operate simultaneously - they have a rotating schedule and people would have to line up.
2. The female shower room's drainage was clogged when we went there!No one wants to shower with their feet soaking in dirty water! blueeughk!!
3. Not a lot of food choices - mostly just grilled stuff
4. They need more inflatable rings/lifesavers for the Balsa River - we were walking instead of "floating easy"

Tip for those commuting from Alabang: there's UV Express in South Station going to Trece Martires that passes through Southwoods, you can take that van and alight at McDonald's Southwoods and hail a tricycle to take you to Splash Island.

Half a day in Potipot Island

Did I actually expect bus schedule will be followed during peak season? Spoiler alert - there was no bus at the terminal. The dispatcher at Victory Liner Cubao couldn't give an ETA. But let me just cut the story short. We found a different bus, took a longer route and still managed to reach our destination - Candelaria, Zambales.

We stayed at Isla Vista Resort in Brgy Uacon. It's quite old and dated but very affordable. We only needed a place to sleep and put our stuff. So this works.

Resort is facing west so I was anticipating beautiful sunset. I was not disappointed. Thanks Zambales.

The resort has their own outrigger that took us to Potipot Island which was only about 10 minutes (or less) from Isla Vista.

Swimming was cut short because sister Jani accidentally stepped on a sea urchin. We all panicked!
Jani had difficulty in walking so we all just sat there under the trees shade for about couple of hours which was actually very nice and relaxing. Talk about beach bummin.

We heard that Zambales offers yummy mangoes so we went back to Sta. Cruz city proper to have (late) lunch and buy some mangoes. We of course, did a little walk tour. Look at this nice church door.

What we paid for:
>Bus fare ~ I dont remember sorry but I think it was around 450php (Cubao to Sta. Cruz,  Zambales)
>Jeepney fare 13php (Sta. Cruz to Uacon Candelaria)
>Tricycle ride ~ also can't remember
> Room for 4 pax 5000php for 2 nights
> boat ride to and from Potipot Island 400php
> food ~ spent a lot! The prices at their restaurant is quite steep, from 95php for breakfast meal to almost 200php per entrée; almost 300php for seafood yummeh stuff  ~ except for breakfast meal, they're all for sharing
> Mangoes! 60php per kilo :)
