Sunday Woe of a Skincare Junkie
I’ve made peace with the fact that my face will never be makinis. I’m fully aware that it’s ridiculous to compare it to the artistas, even more those kPop idols.
June 2019. I was hopeful at the outset of my skincare journey. The more I read and watch, the more confident I’ve become that I can do this without going through the horrible peeling other people go through when undergoing treatment at the Dermas. I have to say, I do see some improvement, particularly on my forehead area.
My enlarged pores will be with me forever; it’s genetics. And as I age I’ll see some spots here and there.
Pimples, yes, that’s kind if a given, especially when I’m close to my period.
But my, oh my, hormonal acne has reached another milestone: 5-in-1 cystic acne. My only savior for this stubborn kind is getting cortisone injection. But at a time of pandemic, that’s not really an ideal move.
So I’m stuck with this gigantic morph of cystic acne for the next few days. Debating whether I salicylic acid or Benzoyl peroxide the shit out of it, orrrrr try to calm it with niacinamide and hope for the best.

Wearing my husband's tshirt. Nago-online grocery shopping.
Is this my new normal?
Fast

I
want to free up my phone, so mag upload na lang ako dito ng mga random pretty
things I took a picture of.

Crestfallen and devastated because we cannot celebrate her birthday together this year.
I'm kind of tired missing them. I'm exhausted with having to worry for them.

Lockdown Meal Plan at iba pang Kwentong Ulam
I did recently. Nag part time volunteer ako and our task was to translate a Covid-19 survey from English to Tagalog.
Segue agad. Going back. Lockdown - so inspired by wais na momshie Mrs Jenna V, gumawa rin ako meal plan namin for the week because bawal lumabas during the lockdown period. Ideally ~ as to why some of my kapitbahays are palabaslabas pa rin, I will never know.
Mostly nasunod naman yung meal plan namin. Minsan lang dami natitira kaya umaabot pa ng mga 2 more meals na same ulam namin. Tiis muna.
Nagluto ako minsan, ayun dami natira kasi 'di masarap hahahuhu.
I love gulay pa man din.
And meron lang kaming 1 day to replenish our stock. So nakikisabay lang ako pag nag ggrocery sya. Sa likod ako umuupo, y'know, physical distancing.
Mukhang matagal tagal pa 'to 'no? Haha! Hindi pa kami nagkaka major buwisitan simula nung quarantine.
But still, I hope magkaron na ng vaccine. I hope mas maging responsible na lahat nang tao kapag lumalabas and nakiki interact sa iba.
Let's stay safe and hopeful.
